Peel Transitions is a 3 year, Ontario Trillium Foundation-funded collaborative project led by the East Mississauga Community Health Centre.
With the long-term goal of better serving trans and gender variant, gender non conforming communities in Peel, the Peel Transitions has three main deliverables:
(a) a region-wide community development project focused on understanding and appreciating trans, gender variant and gender non conforming communities, and on building capacity within the settlement and health sectors within Peel
(b) frontline service delivery of a 10-12 week educational program “Gender Journeys Peel” for individuals thinking about their gender identity
(c) developing an online support space for trans, gender variant and gender non-conforming individuals
